If a founder has passion and innovation, he needs to be supported. I am more intuitive than a numbers person, and I recognise that not all investments are going to be positive. Some may fail, and some may have problems for other reasons. That is life.

There's so much happening with the youth looking at local or national problems and solving them with innovation and technology. This is what startup success means.

Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.

Innovation has nothing to do with how many R&D dollars you have. When Apple came up with the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R&D. It's not about money. It's about the people you have, how you're led, and how much you get it.

I'm actually as proud of the things we haven't done as the things I have done. Innovation is saying no to 1,000 things.

Pretty much, Apple and Dell are the only ones in this industry making money. They make it by being WalMart. We make it by innovation.
