Give a man health and a course to steer, and he'll never stop to trouble about whether he's happy or not.

Happy is the man who can recognize in the work of to-day a connected portion of the work of life and an embodiment of the work of Eternity.

The necessary thing for anyone to be happy and contented as long as he lives is working for the ones who will come after him rather than working for himself... One can reach the true delight and happiness in the life only by working for the existence, honor, and happiness of the future generations.

The natural thing to do is to work-to recognize that prosperity and happiness can be obtained only through honest effort. Human ills flow largely from attempting to escape from this natural course. I have no suggestion which goes beyond accepting in its fullest this principle of nature.

Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.
