I believe that the very purpose of life is to be happy. From the very core of our being, we desire contentment. In my own limited experience, I have found that the more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being.

The necessary thing for anyone to be happy and contented as long as he lives is working for the ones who will come after him rather than working for himself... One can reach the true delight and happiness in the life only by working for the existence, honor, and happiness of the future generations.

Happy is the man who can recognize in the work of to-day a connected portion of the work of life and an embodiment of the work of Eternity.

Everyone wants to lead a happy life. However, real happiness is not about having money or power, it's about achieving inner peace. If you have peace of mind, you'll be happy by night and day.

Happiness is not on my list of priorities. I just deal with day-to-day things. If I'm happy, I'm happy - and if I'm not, I don't know the difference... Knowing that you are the person you were put on this earth to be - that's much more important than just being happy.
