There is no learning without remembering.

The greatest investment a young person can make is in their own education, in their own mind. Because money comes and goes. Relationships come and go. But what you learn once stays with you forever.

If you look at the people who have high impact, they have pretty general knowledge. They don't have a really narrowly focused education.

A primary object should be the education of our youth in the science of government. In a republic, what species of knowledge can be equally important? And what duty more pressing than communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?

No group and no government can properly prescribe precisely what should constitute the body of knowledge with which true education is concerned.

Ultimately, education in its real sense is the pursuit of truth. It is an endless journey through knowledge and enlightenment.
