If you keep your eye on the profit, you're going to skimp on the product. But if you focus on making really great products, then the profits will follow.

Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.

I am saddened, not by Microsoft's success - I have no problem with their success. They've earned their success, for the most part. I have a problem with the fact that they just make really third-rate products.

The point is that when we focus on all three things at once-technology, policies, and markets-we can encourage innovation, spark new companies, and get new products into the market fast.
