Because, you know, resilience - if you think of it in terms of the Gold Rush, then you'd be pretty depressed right now because the lastnugget of gold would be gone. But the good thing is, with innovation, there isn't a last nugget. Every new thing creates two new questions and two new opportunities.

We must work together to ensure the equitable distribution of wealth, opportunity and power in our society.

We often miss opportunity because it's dressed in overalls and looks like work.

We realize we must continually seek improved practices to insure the continuance of reasonable profits, together with scientific progress, individual initiative, opportunities for the little fellow, fair prices, decent wages and continuing employment.

The task at hand on will not be easy. But you have mandated us to change South Africa from a country in which the majority lived with little hope, to one in which they can live and work with dignity, with a sense of self-esteem and confidence in the future. The cornerstone of building a better life of opportunity, freedom and prosperity is the Reconstruction and Development Programme.

An opportunity to work is good luck for me. I put my soul into it. Each such opportunity opens the gates for the next one.
