Favor comes because for a brief moment in the great space of human change and progress some general human purpose finds in him a satisfactory embodiment.

I like progress but I hate change.

The most serious threat to our institutions comes from those who refuse to face the need for change.

Technology empowers the less empowered. If there is a strong force that bring a change in the lives of those on the margins it is technology. It serves as a leveler and a springboard.

Those who are really convinced that they have made progress in science would not demand freedom for the new views to continue side by side with the old, but the substitution of the new views for the old.

The remains of the old must be decently laid away; the path of the new prepared. That is the difference between Revolution and Progress.
