When you're young, you don't have any experience-you're charged up, but you're out of control. And if you're old and you're not charged up, then all you have is memories. But if you're charged and stimulated by what's going on around you, and you also have experience, you know what to appreciate and what to pass by.

I hate to mention age, but I come from an era when we weren't consumed by technology and television.

An economically peaceful and prosperous Sri Lanka is the dream of youth of the nation. My message for the youth is to collectively work for an inclusively developed Sri Lanka.

I have met 18 million youth, and each wants to be unique.

My view is that at a younger age your optimism is more and you have more imagination etc. You have less bias.

Maturity is often more absurd than youth and very frequently is most unjust to youth.
