In June of last year we negotiated a truce which ended the Korean War, preserved the Republic of Korea's freedom, and frustrated the Communist design for conquest.

If the foundations of the Free World structure were progressively allowed to crumble under the pressure of communist imperialism, the entire house of freedom would be in danger of collapse.

I'm getting sick and tired of people saying that this movement has been infiltrated by Communists. There are as many Communists in this freedom movement as there are Eskimos in Florida.

How can I set free anyone who doesn't have the guts to stand up alone and declare his own freedom? People are terrified to be set free - they hold on to their chains. They fight anyone who tries to break those chains. It's their security How can they expect me or anyone else to set them free if they don't really want to be free?

Don't join the book burners. Don't think you are going to conceal faults by concealing evidence that they ever existed.

Don't be afraid to go in your library and read every book, as long as that document does not offend our own ideas of decency. That should be the only censorship.
