Personally, I think you can put any interpretation you want on anything, but when someone suggests that Can't Buy Me Love is about a prostitute, I draw the line. That's going too far.

You can do whatever you like with my image, my music, remix it, re-release it, whatever... just never make me boring.

My songs are like Bic razors. For fun, for modern consumption. You listen to it, like it, discard it, then on to the next. Disposable pop.

People, whether they know it or not, like their blues singers miserable. They like their blues singers to die afterwards.

In my songs, I try to look through someone else's eyes, and I want to give the audience a feeling more than a message.

I think The Grateful Dead kind of represents the spirit of being able to go out and have an adventure in America at large.
