Israel, as soon as we made the deal they came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I've never seen before.

I'm not happy with Israel. You know, when I say, 'OK now you have 12 hours,' you don't go out to the first hour, just drop everything you have on, so I'm not happy with them. I'm not happy with Iran either.

The G7 and former G8 group has always viewed itself as a community of values, the annexation of Crimea, which is a blatant violation of the principles of international law, and the events in eastern Ukraine are serious violations of these common values.

I speak to him a lot about getting this thing done. And I always hang up and say, well, that was a nice phone call. And then missiles are launched into Kyiv or some other city. And I said, strange. And after that happens three or four times, you say the talk doesn't mean anything.

We will measure our success not only by the battles we win, but also by the wars that we end, and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into. My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier. That's what I want to be. A peacemaker and a unifier.

I think I have the power to end this war, and I think it's going very well. But today I heard, 'Oh, well, we weren't invited.' Well, you've been there for three years. You [Ukraine] should have never started it. You could have made a deal.
