Mama was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love.

Ain't a woman alive that could take my mama's place.

My mother taught me three things: respect, knowledge, search for knowledge. It's an eternal journey.

But she puts into them the soul of the body, which forms them that is the soul of the mother which first constructs in the womb the form of the man and in due time awakens the soul that is to inhabit it.

All that I am or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.

It bothered me that my mother was crying all the time. She thought God might be punishing her for something... So I just told her I was happy to be blind and I think she felt better after that.
