Contentment is natural wealth.

My manner of living is plain. I do not mean to be put out of it. A glass of wine and a bit of mutton are always ready; and such as will be content to partake of them are always welcome. Those, who expect more, will be disappointed, but no change will be effected by it.

When we rejoice in our fullness, then we can part with our fruits with joy.

When you have got a thing where you want, it is a good thing to leave it where it is.

Be happy in the moment, that's enough. Each moment is all we need, not more.

Over the years, those who have seemed to me to be the most happy, contented and fulfilled have always been the people who have lived the most outgoing and unselfish lives.
