Every generation has its defining works. More than 300,000 people worked to put a man on the moon - including that janitor. Millions of volunteers immunized children around the world against polio. Millions of more people built the Hoover dam and other great projects. These projects didn't just provide purpose for the people doing those jobs, they gave our whole country a sense of pride that we could do great things.

Have you grasped nothing of the reason why I am in the world?

I have an irrepressible desire to live till I can be assured that the world is a little better for my having lived in it.

You have to find what sparks a light in you so that you in your own way can illuminate the world.

Some there are who are nothing else than a passage for food and augmentors of excrement and fillers of privies, because through them no other things in the world, nor any good effects are produced, since nothing but full privies results from them.

Today we stand together all around the world, joined in a common purpose - to remake the planet into a haven of joy and understanding and goodness.
