Being rich and famous seems to have its ups and downs. That's the price you pay for being troubadours and clowns.

What we've had to do is learn to control success, put it in perspective, and not lose the essence of what we're doing - the music.

I've never gotten thick skin. If you close yourself off and you get this protective armor, there is a price you pay with that - of not feeling. And feeling is important when you are a songwriter.
