In Art, man reveals himself and not his objects.

The real art is knowing what to leave out, not what to put in.

Art is a microscope which the artist fixes on the secrets of his soul, and shows to people these secrets which are common to all.

What's left is a cultural economy where only the privileged can afford to create, and where only immediately profitable art survives.
