Mysterious language is not a sign of wisdom. The wiser a person is, the simpler the language he uses to express his thoughts.

The water in a vessel is sparkling; the water in the sea is dark. The small truth has words which are clear; the great truth has great silence.

How blissful it is, for one who has nothing. Attainers-of-wisdom are people with nothing. See him suffering, one who has something, a person bound in mind with people.

There is no water like rainwater; no strength like one's own; no light like that of the eyes; and no wealth more dear than food grain.

Don't gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver or gold.

A clever man without wisdom is like a beautiful flower without fragrance.
