Love isn't love until it's past.

Lust for the future, treasure the past.

A new society cannot be created by reproducing the repugnant past, however refined or enticingly repackaged.

We don't have to be victims of our past, that we can let go of our bitterness, and that all of us can achieve greatness.

We do not regret this, we simply state the fact and know that we need to look ahead, not backwards. We will not allow the past to drag us down and stop us from moving ahead. We understand where we should move. But we must act based on a clear understanding of what happened.

If the Christian is a restorationist, a legalist, if he wants everything clear and safe, then he will find nothing. Tradition and memory of the past must help us to have the courage to open up new areas to God.
