A lot of my songs are fantasy. I can dream up all kinds of things. That's the kind of world I live in. It's very sort of flamboyant, and that's the kind of way I write. I love it.

Carrying the Beatles or the '60s dream around all your life is like carrying the Second World War and Glenn Miller around. That's not to say you can't enjoy Glenn Miller or the Beatles, but to live in that dream is the twilight zone. It's not living now. It's an illusion.

Produce your own dream. It's quite possible to do anything, but not if you put it on the leaders and the parking meters.

A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.

You the one that I dream about all day. You the one that I think about always. You are the one so I make sure I behave! My love is your love, your love is my love.

The nicest thing for me is sleep, then at least I can dream.
