In our personal ambitions we are individualists. But in our seeking for economic and political progress as a nation, we all go up or else all go down as one people.

A nation with a strong defence industry will not only be more secure. It will also reap rich economic benefits - it can boost investment, expand manufacturing, support enterprise, raise the technology level and increase economic growth in the country.

There are 18,500 villages in the country where electricity is yet to reach. We want to ensure these villages are electrified within the next 1000 days.

We have always focused on degrees only. Now is the time to focus on skill development that will bring employment to our youth. If we have to compete with China then we have to focus on three things-skill, scale and speed. We need better skill, greater scale and faster speed.

To achieve the goal of a 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India), we must follow the path of 'Atmanirbharta' (self-reliance), and a significant responsibility to make India self-reliant lies with our MSMEs. Whatever the people of our country need and whatever we can produce domestically, we should make right here in India.

No country can really develop unless its citizens are educated. Any nation that is progressive is led by people who have had the privilege of studying.
