Most of my songs are love ballads and things to do with sadness and torture and pain.

If it doesn't work out there will never be any doubt that the pleasure was worth all the pain.

I've been in pain, hope it doesn't show. I've been insane, well the time is slow.

Carrying the Beatles or the '60s dream around all your life is like carrying the Second World War and Glenn Miller around. That's not to say you can't enjoy Glenn Miller or the Beatles, but to live in that dream is the twilight zone. It's not living now. It's an illusion.

The only thing that can kill me is death, that's the only thing that can ever stop me, is death, and even then my music will live forever.

When an angel comes down and takes me away, memories of me and my songs will always stay until the end of time.
