The world tells us to seek success, power and money; God tells us to seek humility, service and love.

Power said to the world, "You are mine." The world kept it prisoner on her throne. Love said to the world, "I am thine." The world gave it the freedom of her house.

Love is the most durable power in the world. This creative force, so beautifully exemplified in the life of our Christ, is the most potent instrument available in mankind's quest for peace and security.

Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.

What is needed is a realization that power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic.

Don't go for second best. Put your love to the test.
