Working with Dolly is a great rush for me because we are good friends, and we have been, forever. We just flirted a lot. I can't explain it, but flirting is more electric than passion. It's the anticipation. She does it better than anybody I've ever seen, and it's just good fun.

There has to be chemistry in a duet, but if you go beyond the point of friendship and attraction, you lose something.

I started to write the song. And I was in Gladewater, Texas, one night with Carl Perkins and I said, I've got a good idea for a song. And I sang him the first verse that I had written, and I said it's called "Because You're Mine." And he said, "I Walk The Line" is a better title, so I changed it to "I Walk The Line."

I love to hear a choir. I love the humanity... to see the faces of real people devoting themselves to a piece of music. I like the teamwork. It makes me feel optimistic about the human race when I see them cooperating like that.

Adam does most of the work when it comes to videos and he basically does the same as I do with the lyrics. The videos are his visual interpretations of our music.

We're five people, five individuals who came together to create something, to make music and to complete each other musically, to form a perfect circle.
