I don't want to keep playing the same formula over and over again, otherwise you just go insane. I don't want to become stale. I want to be creative.

When I have a creative insight, there is a high. I think back in the day, I made music as much as I did because it made me feel so good. I think you could argue that there is a creative addiction - but, you know, the healthy kind.

Personal differences, musical differences, business differences, but most of all because I have a better time with my family.

I leave the genre labeling to other people. I really do. If I were to think too hard about it, that would stifle you creatively. If you think too hard about who other people want you to be as an artist, it stops you from being who you want to be as an artist.

Someone like John would want to end the Beatle period and start the Yoko period. He wouldn't like either to interfere with the other.
