My life is not a political campaign. I just write about what is on my mind. I just play whatever I feel like playing. Whatever is in my soul at the time is what I want to do. I have, thank god, enough people who are still interested in what I am doing so that I can go out and keep doing it.

That which does not kill me can only make me stronger. I don't see why everybody feel as though that they gotta tell me how to live my life.

We have always held to the hope, the belief, the conviction that there is a better life, a better world, beyond the horizon.

When you receive criticism from well-meaning people, it pays to ask, 'Are they right?' And if they are, you need to adapt what they're doing. If they're not right, if you really have conviction that they're not right.
