The second Green Revolution will take place in eastern India, including here in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

We will link farmers to global markets. We will give the world the Taste of India.

My only desire is that India should be a good producer, and no one should be hungry, shedding tears for food in the country.

I hope, some day or another, we shall become a storehouse and granary for the world.

I am led to reflect how much more delightful to an undebauched mind is the task of making improvements on the earth, than all the vain glory which can be acquired from ravaging it by the most uninterrupted career of conquests.

I know of no pursuit in which more real and important services can be rendered to any country than by improving its agriculture, its breed of useful animals, and other branches of a husbandman's cares.
