It takes time to get rid of all this garbage that I've been carrying around that was influencing the way I thought and the way I lived. It had a lot to do with Yoko showing me that I was still possessed. I left physically when I fell in love with Yoko, but mentally it took the last ten years of struggling. I learned everything from her. ... It is a teacher-pupil relationship.

To go forward you have to leave something behind.

If you could see that from the many years that we've been here and you could expect that to continue, we see the growth in India.

Just because you are CEO, don't think you have landed. You must continually increase your learning, the way you think, and the way you approach the organization. I've never forgotten that.

It has been an exciting time to be at Walmart. Looking back, I'm not sure I could have imagined some of the things we're doing in our business today but, at the same time, it feels like we're just getting started.

Retailers grow and die. I've been doing this almost 30 years now, which is amazing to me because I feel like in some ways, we're still just getting started.
