Man can't do without God. Just like you're thirsty, you have to drink water. You just can't go without God.

He who believes that each being has been created as we now see it, must occasionally have felt surprise when he has met with an animal having habits and structure not at all in agreement.

The animal is one with its life activity. It does not distinguish the activity from itself. It is its activity. But man makes his life activity itself an object of his will and consciousness. He has a conscious life activity. It is not a determination with which he is completely identified.

No man ever believes that the Bible means what it says: he is always convinced that it says what he means.
