You must not hate those who do wrong or harmful things; but with compassion, you must do what you can to stop them - for they are harming themselves, as well as those who suffer from their actions.

As human beings, we each have a responsibility to care for humanity. Expressing concern for others brings inner strength and deep satisfaction. As social animals, human beings need friendship. But friendship doesn't come from wealth and power. It comes from showing compassion and concern for others.

Let no man pull you so low as to hate him.

We must have the compassion and understanding for those who hate us.

No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.

The dying, the cripple, the mental, the unwanted, the unloved - they are Jesus in disguise.
