I love the idea of the teachings of Jesus Christ and the beautiful stories about it, which I loved in Sunday school and I collected all the little stickers and put them in my book. But the reality is that organised religion doesn't seem to work. It turns people into hateful lemmings and it's not really compassionate.

Jesus has very clearly said in the gospel. "Whatever you do, do to the least of my brethren." Clear? That was the work of Jesus.

Animals don't hate, and we're supposed to be better than them.

I went to Catholic school in and out. I'm what you call a recovering Catholic. I have many major issues with the church.

•

Religion and law try to escape from criticism, religion by saying that it is divine and law by showing that it is powerful.

•

God is not present in idols. Your feelings are your god. The soul is your temple.

•

We must be Bright and Cheerful, long faces do not make Religion.
