In the fields of opportunity it's plowing time again.

Every day you wake up is an opportunity to go beyond, and that 's why I let my band go right now. For the first time in my life I'm just roaming around, vagabonding.

I just want to write songs in my little corner. And I still love music, I've not been worn down by cynicism.

The world don't need any more songs... As a matter of fact, if nobody wrote any songs from this day on, the world ain't gonna suffer for it... There's enough songs for people to listen to, if they want to listen to songs. For every man, woman and child on earth, they could be sent, probably, each of them, a hundred songs, and never be repeated... Unless someone's gonna come along with a pure heart and has something to say. That's a different story.

I love to write honest songs that name real people, then get up onstage and live out those emotions in front of 15,000 people.

I don't write songs about a specific, elusive thing. I write about love, and everyone knows what it is like to have your heart broken.
