I'm not taking credit or discredit for the stock market. I'm just saying we inherited a mess.... We came in on Jan. 20, so this is Biden. And you can even say the next quarter is, sort of, Biden, because it doesn't just happen on a daily or an hourly basis, but we're turning it around. It's a big ship to turn around.

He's [Jerome Powell] a terrible Fed chair. I was surprised he was appointed. I was surprised, frankly, that Biden put him in and extended him.

In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat. It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn't be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats. ...But certainly we had some very good economies under Democrats, as well as Republicans. But we've had some pretty bad disaster under the Republicans.

A lot of people up there can't get jobs. They can't get jobs, because there are no jobs, because China has our jobs and Mexico has our jobs. They all have jobs.

The proper role of government, however, is that of partner with the farmer - never his master. By every possible means we must develop and promote that partnership - to the end that agriculture may continue to be a sound, enduring foundation for our economy and that farm living may be a profitable and satisfying experience.
