It's been my dream since I was a child to somehow unite people of the world through love and music.

I don't know how to function without music. When I'm not making it, I'm listening to it. It gives me courage and takes care of my mind.

The first time I knew what I wanted to do with my life was when I was about four years old. I was listening to an old Victrola, playing a railroad song...I thought that was the most wonderful, amazing thing...That you could take this piece of wax and music would come out of that box. From that day on, I wanted to sing on the radio.

For some people, fame kills it and becomes more important than the music or the performance. But for me fame is like rocket fuel. The more my fans like what I'm doing, the more I want to give back to them. And my passion is so strong I can't sleep - I haven't slept for three days.

If we hold on together I know our dreams will never die. Dreams see us through to forever. Where clouds roll by for you and I.

For me, living and making music, they're one thing. It's not like a job that I go to a studio to do, or a chore that I have to get myself in the mood to do, or something. It's the thing that I need to do every day.
