Life and Jah are one in the same. Jah is the gift of existence. I am in some way eternal, I will never be duplicated. The singularity of every man and woman is Jah's gift.

What we struggle to make of it is our sole gift to Jah. The process of what that struggle becomes, in time, the Truth.

I think that if anything can be proved by natural theology, it is that slavery is morally wrong.

In other words, our form of government has no sense unless it is founded in a deeply felt religious faith, and I don't care what it is.

We are essentially a religious people. We are not merely religious, we are inclined, more today than ever, to see the value of religion as a practical force in our affairs.

The concept of our established Church is occasionally misunderstood and, I believe, commonly under-appreciated. Its role is not to defend Anglicanism to the exclusion of other religions. Instead, the Church has a duty to protect the free practice of all faiths in this country.
